Why to Vote Obama 2012

Honestly, has there ever been a more underrated president by the mainstream media and the bad economy?

President Obama is highly underrated but he will surprise the establishment Republicans again and win again in 2012! The odds are certainly in his favor with recent developments.

These developments are largely due to Mitt Romney and the perpetual mud slinging truth twisting machine that is the Republican party getting a reputation for an obstruction loving elitist establishment that is more concerned with winning the presidency than ANYTHING ELSE! Even if it means they block each proposal the president sends to them with the American people suffering because they don't get anything done because of this obstruction.

Obama has improved the economy greatly in his time as president. This is a hot debate issue but it's not worth arguing. He has significantly improved the economy despite a number of factors working against him as follows:

1. We have been in a Recession since before his presidency began and continue to be today. It is has been called the "Late-2000s Recession" or the "Great Recession" and is truly the most significant economic depression since the Great Depression.

The Late-2000s Recession is not Obama's fault. He did not cause it, it was started long before he or even GW Bush Jr took office. It was long time in the making and was mostly due to the meltdown of the under-regulated financial sector with bad morgages and other bad consumer debt that had banks falling like dominoes and people losing their homes. Again, neither Mitt Romney or anyone else can prove any of this had anything to do with Obama or that he made it any worse. The numbers simply are not there. Period.

2. The Tea Party heavy and Republican controlled Congress have tried their best to derail Obama's plans to improve the economy to win political points with the fleeting hopes of beating Obama in the 2012 presidential election.

They have roadblocked him at every step including refusing to work with him, being against anything he's for even if it's not raising taxes like during Christmas 2011 when Speaker of the House John Boehner grandstanded against the president during the debt ceiling talks and danger of a government shutdown in the Summer of 2011 and again in during the payroll tax cut debates in late 2012. Luckily, the tides turned when Boehner was forced to concede to the president despite the desire of his do nothing anti-obama constituency.

3. The country's deficit has never been larger. At over 15 Trillion dollars it is a drag on the economy and America's debt rating was decreased because of it in the Summer of 2011. However, we did not accrue this debt overnight and certainly not in the 3 years Obama has been in office.

The Republicans are correct that Obama has spent a great deal while in office, but that's only a half truth according to this article. Much of this spending was due to our 2 longest and most expensive wars in history in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also he did authorize the baling out of several large banks and the automakers. However, he has slashed one tax dollar for every dollar he's spent on government programs which doesn't amount to a savings but unfortunately in today's economic dire situation any economist will tell you if you stop investing in the future in bad times that is a recipe for bankruptcy.

While Republicans have reasons for feeling the way they feel, that's all they are just feelings. When it comes time to evaluate the facts one cannot deny that President Barack Obama has put his country and the American people first when it comes to the economy, jobs, healthcare, the environment, education, infrastructure, manufacturing, construction, new technology, diplomacy, financial sector regulation, government, and nearly every other part of this great nation.

Whether after reading this article you will vote for Obama in 2012 or not, I urge you to do your research of unbiased news sources. This is an incredibly important election because America is at such a crucial point in its history. After evaluation all the facts, not the distortion about the candidates make up your mind and do what's best for the country.

Vote for Obama in 2012!

All the Best,
J
